Well... it’s definitely been awhile since I have used this. I will try to start it up again. I will briefly catch everyone up on the last 10 years or so.
Work: I have worked in many SNF ( skilled nursing facilities) through Nebraska and Iowa then changed to Homehealth. I went to Las Vegas and was certified to be a lymphedema therapist. I applied for a position at Nebraska Medicine as a Lymphedema Specialist. I was excepted and I have been working there for about 1 1/2 years. I’m really enjoying it there. Recently with Covid -19 we haven’t been in clinic. Instead I have been helping out with screenings. I won’t be going back to clinic until the end of August but that is mainly due to the fact of having back surgery. This leads me to the health section.
Health: I have suffered from back pain since my mission. I woke up one day reached into my closet and had pain and spasming down my leg. I have struggled with it since then for about 20 years. Last year I found myself unable to walk well and in an immense amount of pain. My fiancé at the time came over and took me to Emergency. They did an MRI after giving me a lot of pain pills which did help diminish the pain a little but I was still suffering. Long story short... I had surgery 10 days later and two weeks before I got married. It didn’t seem to get better and in fact got worse. I went for a second opinion. I am now having surgery again this Friday. They will fuse my lower level and I pray get rid of my high level everyday pain. I might actually be able to work without pain. Here’s to hoping.
Marriage: I got married last May. May 4 to be exact. It will be easy for my husband to remember our anniversary that way. It’s funny because he’s not a huge Star Wars freak fan but we both like it. It just worked out that it fell on that day. We celebrated one year already. We met on a blind date through a mutual friend. It was NOT love at first sight.... at least not for me. It took a few more times for me to be worn down. 😂 We has been dating for 2 1/2 years when we were married. Married life has been good but challenging. There is something to be said about getting married young when your not as established. We have learned to have our routine instead of individual routines. We are still learning how to mesh everything but it’s good. Here’s to hoping the next year is a little easier now that we are meshing our lives more. Here’s to hoping he gets his clothes in the basket. 😂
Dog: We have recently added an addition to our family. We adopted him from the Humane Society. He is 7 yes old and 75lbs. He also thinks he’s a lap dog and has to cuddle all the time. He’s such a cute dog and so fun to have in the house.
Temple: I am still working in the Temple. I have been there since 2006 and I still love it. Since the Covid-19 pandemic we have not been working there. Hopefully we will be able to run full capacity safely soon. All is due time.
Well that’s a nice brief catch up for now. I will try to be better about keeping this updated. Hope all is well. Love to you all.

The Harp
This was my harp that I had for about 2 years. It was great. I miss it. I had to sell it due to a recent back injury. I needed to sell it. I was sad but it went to a wonderful little girl who was amazing. She had only been playing a year or less and was just amazing.
Having fun around Christmas time at the Larsens. Heather Hubble playing piano, Karen on the Lever Harp, Tchapo singing, and I am playing the Pedal Harp.

SaltLake and Idaho
This was my trip to Idaho a while back. My friend Angie and her husband brought this fun little toy with them. I am a great driver.
I love this picture. I loved it here. It was so peaceful. I am glad I was able to be up at the cabin during this time.
These were my friends who I enjoyed a nice meal. Tom and I went up to his parents to meet some of his friends before heading up to the cabin. See above picture. Lisa flew in to see me in Salt Lake City while I was there. She is great.
Me, Tom, Lisa's date (can't remember his name) and Lisa
This is my wonderful friend Becca- roue. She is the best. I stayed with her and her husband for the weekend.
Gingerbread
I was called to be the gingerbread specialist for the Papillion stake. It was a fun calling. Here are just a few of the things that people made and brought. This was a great time. A lot of schools, assisted living places, and just the Omaha public in general love to come and look at them all. It was/is fun.
